A trip into the Cockney heartland of Roman Road proved to be a new and exciting foray for your club representatives. Especially as we were expecting a Kelly's. Yes, the Robins empire is expanding westward out of the 'Greater Ham' area. If you don't know what I'm talking about, take a look at Robins claret and blue signage.

Knives were not on the menu, as the be-spooned and beaming Bob will attest. But he looked genuinely happy to be slicing the pastry once more. As ever Rikk Lucas curbed his enthusiasm.

Graham Darlow makes himself comfortable for a 36-point cruise through the red formica vistas. I have yet to discover the contents of his 'black magic bag', and it's probably best that some things remain shrouded in mystery. Ben Hayes is shrouded in steam as he playfully entices a wispy strand of mash onto his fork.

The ladies in white were stylish, courteous and highly capable hostesses, clearly accustomed to dealing with complex orders and demanding customers. However I didn't think I was fully deserving of the tag 'troublemaker'.

Talking of tags, here's a flavour of the streets of E2. Could be a popular stop for dogs judging by the pavement-level erosion.
