It was a homecoming for Mister Hollingsworth (centre of the group pic - sorry about the fog.) He grew up just round the corner in Barnet Grove. When Bob was a flannel-beshorted youngster, his mum put pies strictly off limits, so this trip was something of a rebilious return.

As you can see from the brown halo in the illustration, the pies themselves contained ample liquid nourishment in the form of a gravy which gushed forth at the incision of cutlery. We liked this place, famed for its catchphrase "If we served tea and afters, it wouldn't be Pie and Mash".
